Cookie e Privacy
Cookies can be divided into the following categories:
- navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the website (for example, allowing visitors to authenticate themselves in order to access reserved areas);
- analytics cookies, similar to technical cookies when used directly by the website manager to collect information, in aggregated form, on the number of users and how they visit the website;
- functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse the website according to a series of selected criteria (e.g. language) in order to improve the level of service provided.
The cookies currently used by agenziapugliapromozione.it (excluding technical cookies) are cookies to manage the user session and to save the language selected by the user.
The third-party cookies used are:
- Google analytics
Third-party technologies and cookies
This website uses the external web analysis service provided by Google Analytics (and the service provided by Addthis for social media channels), which uses Javascript technology to allow the website to analyze how users interact with it. Google Analytics mainly uses proprietary cookies to generate reports on visitors’ interactions with websites. These cookies are used to store information that does not allow users to be personally identified. Pugliapromozione is not involved with the operations of "third-party cookies", with the latter falling under the responsibility of the third parties themselves. The information generated on how users interact with the website (including their IP address) will be transmitted and stored on Google Analytics servers. Google Analytics will use this information for the purpose of tracking and examining use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google Analytics may also transfer this information to third parties if this is required by law or if such third parties process the aforementioned information on behalf of Google Analytics. You can consult the relative Privacy Policy at the address: https://support/google.com/analytics
Cookie management: consent for the relative use
Cancelling cookies will not prevent individuals from using the agenziapugliapromozione.it website, but this may lead to changes in the browsing experience and when it comes to accessing the reserved area.
Users/visitors can set their computer browsers to accept/reject all cookies or to display a warning each time a cookie is proposed, in order to assess whether to accept it or not.
For this purpose, plug-ins are available for the most common browsers that allow for:
- cookies to be managed (viewed, cancelled, blocked)
- third-party Javascript pages to be disabled
- the technologies used by the website to be viewed
- the various tracking mechanisms to be viewed and blocked (selective)
By default, almost all web browsers are set to automatically accept cookies. In any case, you can alter the default settings, which are normally ‘medium’ with browsers (such as Internet Explorer version 6.0), and disable cookies (i.e. permanently block them), by going to the appropriate tab ("Privacy") and setting the highest level of protection (Very High); however, please be informed that disabling cookies may compromise the use of the website functions. In any case, you also have the option to delete (or remove) cookies from your personal computer, using the appropriate function in your browser. Deleting cookies will not prevent you from using the website, but this will involve having to repeat the authentication procedure, or re-enter your access credentials in the reserved area. If you would like to decide whether to accept cookies on a case-by-case basis, you can also configure your browser so that it generates a warning whenever a cookie is saved.
Duration
The Cookies used are session cookies or temporary cookies that help users to browse the website and memorize the choices made during the session. These cookies are deactivated as soon as you leave the website or after a period of inactivity. Advertising cookies are not used.

How do we use the personal data of users and tour operators?
a) Purposes of data processing and legal basis
Personal data are collected and processed by Pugliapromozione for institutional purposes strictly connected to the use of the website and its services. In particular, personal data may be processed for the following purposes:
- to promote tourism and support tourist information offices;
- to provide registration services and access to reserved areas or to specific services, such as those available by accessing the "DMS" and "PugliaEvents", in order to use our channels to promote your business or events (as part of the website registration process, we collect personal data and password information using the relevant online registration forms);

Specifically, we use the data of all "tour operators" (service users) to:
- endorse fairs and send e-mail invites to participate;
- take part in events and send e-mail invites to participate;
- complete profiling (choosing between themes/products and preferred local areas) to create seller/buyer agendas;
- participate in so-called "educationals” (based on responses and availability, operators may be chosen by journalists on tour);
- include accommodation facilities in catalogues and/or press articles;
- increase visibility on the ‘Viaggiareinpuglia’ desktop and mobile website, as well as on the ‘Visit Puglia’ app;
- ensure distribution on advertising websites in order to boost communications (in line with Pugliapromozione’s mission);
- publish information in open data format on dati.puglia.it;
- contribute to the newsletter.
With regard to services dedicated to "accommodation facilities", we use data to:

- provide information on prices and services.
With regard to "Beach establishments" and "Holiday farms without accommodation", we use data to:
- provide information on prices and services.
Current legislation also states that there must be specific grounds for processing users' personal data and, in this case, the justification is:
- to perform a task of public interest or that is connected to exercising the public powers held by Pugliapromozione (institutional purposes);
- to perform an existing contract or to implement the pre-contractual measures adopted upon request, or, in some cases, to fulfil the need to provide feedback to users’ or tour operators’ requests (contractual or pre-contractual purposes);
- to comply with specific legal and/or regulatory requirements (fulfilment of obligations imposed by the Law, by a Regulation or by EU legislation);
- to pursue a legitimate interest of Pugliapromozione or of third parties (e.g. service users);
